
Janice, a hospitality specialist, has three decades of hands-on experience in frontline customer service and management roles in the hospitality industry and also has extensive experience in public relations.
She was the Executive Assistant Manager for Swept Away Resort, a five-star all-inclusive luxury Resort in Negril, Jamaica. Her responsibilities included overseeing the Front Office, Reservations, Guest Service, Entertainment, Public Relations, Housekeeping, Security and Sales Departments.
She was also the Director of Operations for the Friends International Resorts, a group of five hotels scattered throughout Jamaica with over 750 hotel rooms. Janice created operational service manuals for each department in Front of House areas including Guest Services, Reservations, Front Desk, Entertainment, Telephone and Housekeeping. She trained Head of Departments and staff on procedures and monitored their service delivery.
Janice has delivered hospitality training in Jamaica and Guyana, including for the Guyana Tourism and Hospitality Association (THAG).
After a stint in the hotel industry in New York and New Jersey, Janice obtained her Real Estate state license and uses her knowledge and wealth of customer care experience to her advantage as a Realtor, an independent Real Estate agent in New Jersey.
Janice has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Guyana, a Post Graduate Diploma in Mass Communications from the Caribbean Institute of Mass Communications in Jamaica, and a Hospitality Management Diploma from the American Hotel and Motel Association with honors.
